Emerald Bay

We when on a nice little drive around Lake Tahoe yesterday.   Above is a shot of Emerald bay from one of the pullouts along the road.

We stopped for lunch at the Red Hut Cafe.  

They had a malt shop so ……

We had real food too. (Well, closer anyway!)

Several years ago we stayed at this dumpy lodge at Rick’s son’s recommendation.  The room was dirty and it was a obstical course to the bathroom.  The bed was up on a platform that extended about a foot from under it all the way around.  I fell into the bathroom.   Amazingly the place is still there.

The lake is beautiful this time of year.  Ricky used his good camera and took some better pictures.  These are from my “dumbphone”.
