What can you eat at Red Robin that doesn’t blow your calories for the whole day? The answer is Soup and Salad. You can have the Simply Grilled Chicken Salad with Italian dressing (366 calories for the half portion)and the French Onion soup (208 for the cup). If you want to eat the Garlic Focacia Bread that comes with both, you will need to add 185 calories for the two pieces. According to the waitress this is the lowest calorie order on the whole menu.
Compare that with the Bacon Hamburger (1082 calories without cheese) or the Hamburger with Onions Straws (1301 calories) and then add fires (434 calories assuming you don’t ask for more) and you can see how the whole day could easily be ruined by making the wrong choices.
So next time you get dragged out to a restaurant be sure to ask the waitress what the healthy selections are before you order. Most of them are more than happy to point you in the right direction.
Of course there are other dangers lurking on the menu such as this lovely dessert. Be strong and don’t order it.
