Delusional

Why is it that diets are always about not eating the things we love? Why can’t I go on a cake diet, for example?  I have been craving sweets.   Protein and vegetables are so neanderthal.  “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche

Wasn’t Marie French?   I am reading the wrong book 😉   It’s okay, though I know it took a corset to make her look thin (Marie, not Kirsten).  Oh what tangled webs we weave, When first we practise to deceive! –Sir Walter Scott.  Walter was Scottish, which reminds me of a certain beverage that is no longer at my disposal either, but I tried that diet once in my twenties. Nearly didn’t make it to 30!

  1. the prosaic answer; we are evolved to like fats and sweet things for their calories; what was evolutionary good is bad in the 21st century.
